The Soundproof 10" EC Fan showcases its impressive noise performance in a test video, where the ambient noise level increases from 39 dB to only 59 dB at the maximum speed, while moving 946 cubic feet of air per minute. This ultra-low noise output is made possible by the unique sound foam-insulated housing.
The ECMF-S series fans, including the ECMF-250-S, are designed for demanding applications requiring strong directional airflow with minimal sound output, particularly for installations in close proximity to living or working spaces. These fans feature a 2-inch thick layer of acoustic sound-insulation foam inside a steel body and four vibration-reducing suspension springs, resulting in a 10-15 dBA noise output reduction compared to the regular, non-insulated ECMF fans of the same size. This noise reduction is perceived as 50% quieter to human hearing.
Powered by a cutting-edge brushless EC motor and dual jet-type blades, the ECMF-250-S delivers a 946 CFM airflow rate using just 126 Watts at maximum speed, translating to an annual cost of only $380 for 24/7 operation at max speed, based on a $0.29 average cost per kWh. Unlike some fans, the ECMF-250-S does not "purge" or waste electricity at lower speeds.
The ECMF-250-S is HVI Certified and meets the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2021 Criteria, offering users unique flexibility in controls. Users can choose any speed from 0 to 100% using the included variable speed controller without creating background noise or hum at low speeds. Alternatively, they can upgrade to a wireless remote control (Model: ECMF-WR) or an intelligent thermostat speed controller with temperature programming (Model: SC-ECMF). The fan also supports PWM and 0-10V controllers via a 3.5mm audio port.
