The TerraBloom MFIF-6, 6" Inline Fan - 395 CFM Exhaust Duct Fan, features a built-in speed controller and is ETL listed. This mixed flow design, inline duct fan can be used for a wide range of ventilation applications, primarily to exhaust or intake air through ducting. It can be used to eliminate odors when combined with Activated Charcoal Carbon Filters (Scrubbers) in grow tents or indoor gardens.
When using this unit with a carbon filter, it is recommended to attach the fan as close to the filter's duct collar as possible, and to minimize the number of elbows or turns in the ducting, as each turn/elbow can reduce the airflow output by 10-12%.
This duct fan can also be used as an intake fan to supply fresh air from the outside, as well as mitigate unwanted moisture and stale air in the attics and basements. Its compact dimensions and lightweight make it easy to install in areas with limited space.
The inline fan has a removable central assembly, making maintenance and cleaning easier. To remove the central section, simply pry up and remove the two grey buckles on top of the unit and twist the central section by 30°, while keeping the side shrouds in place.
The TB-MFIF-6 Fan comes with a variable speed controller built into the power cord, allowing you to select the fan speed anywhere between 60% to 100% of the maximum output. To prevent the AC motor from overheating, selecting speeds less than 60% is not advisable, as the built-in speed controller does not allow for the selection of speeds less than 50% of the maximum output.
